David displays a confidence in God's judgement which is based on trust in God's justice and his own integrity. This is the confidence of obedience!

We learn from this Psalm that David's happiness does not come from any association with the world, but from being in the "house" and "congregation" of the LORD where God's presence is. In His presence there is fullness of joy!
