Kagi News

For a few weeks I've been using Kagi News. For someone who doesn't like news per se, it's turns out to be a nice middle ground between no news at all versus all news and feel depressed.
Observations:
- News stripped off from opinions.
- Privacy friendly. No ads, trackers, newsletters, etc.
- Much less sensational news.
- Also the amount of news is limited (by design).
- Good coverage on tech topics.
- The interface of the Android app is quite responsive, it's pleasant to use.
- World News tends to be biased towards US news, although you may argue the same happens in 'real' outlets.
- Repetition within articles: summary, highlights, questions and perspectives oftentimes reiterate the same content.
- Sometimes the topic is not really explained well (especially scientific topics) leaving more questions than answers).
- Strange typos from time to time as everything gets translated to Dutch.
- The timelines are often very limited, not spanning more than a week. While some developments have been going on for years, this goes oftentimes unmentioned on the timeline.
- No local news, so I still need to check our own newspaper.
- Kagi News is open source, meaning categories can be modified. But adding a category for my own region would be seen by everyone on the globe, which seems a bit unnecessary to me. So I think it deserves better (nested) category management.
- Looking forward to sync between PC and phone, they are distinct entities so far.
