Another person's loss is never truly bad. This is the view you should have if you are also hold this for yourself as well.
If you can accept that the death of your loved is not truly bad, it should not be hard to see that another's loss is not truly bad.
It is okay to sympathize with this person but be cautious that it doesn't change your view within.
