- Work hard, play hard.
- Make memories. Go to school events with friends, hang out with them.
- Don't burn out. Take frequent breaks. I'm trying to have a "Mandatory fun" each weekend.
- "ig just reeeeeeeally try to lock in, and frequently take a step back and evaluate whether if your schedules/routines are optimal" --David
- Build good relationships with teachers--they're your friends!
- Ask teachers lots of questions after class.
- Start looking at essay prompts and maybe writing them--Okay maybe not this soon.
- How to not feel guilty after getting distracted and feeling like u wasted half ur day? a) if you do waste half of your day, you probably needed it. this can be hard to believe, because there's nothing tangible to measure, but that's just how it goes. b) even if you feel like you squander a lot of your time, you are still a hard-working person! It's hard to look at other people and tell where most of their free time actually goes. chances are, they do the same thing sometimes. c) if this doesn't help and you still feel too unproductive, remember, if you waste the first half the day, there's always the second half! or tomorrow. the toughest part about unproductivity is how it tends to extend itself, even though there's no rational reason to be unproductive just because you were yesterday.
- "I know we are in high school and it's all about competing against the people around you to get into top colleges but the real question is, "Is this really all worth it??" Learning what to be your priority is very important at this time!!" --Junehee
- You can't just be all drive and determination. You have to look into your heart and identity when it beats. Find a purpose and do things because you really like it.
- If you think high school flies by, college goes by even faster! The most important thing I learned in college is networking and making connections is what gets your far in life. Holding yourself to a high standard at all times and helping people doesn’t go unnoticed. Always stay humble and treat everyone the same, even if you are in a higher position than they are.
