This blog is moving home 🐌

October 15, 2026•192 words

This blog is hosted on a service called Listed, which is owned by Standard Notes, which is in turn now owned by Proton. I used Listed because I already use Standard Notes (and Proton).

Somewhere in that chain of command a decision has been made to close the Listed service at the end of this calendar year, which means that this blog will disappear - to live a ghostly existence in the Internet Archive at best. So I am switching platforms to Bear Blog.

The URL blog.24601.net now directs to the new platform. The last two posts were mirrored across both platforms. Hopefully over the coming months I will be able to archive the older posts on the new platform.

If you subscribe (by email or RSS) you will need to subscribe to the new platform.¹

There are email and RSS links in the footer of every page on the new service. If you want me to manually add you to the email list, let me know!

Listed doesn't give me access to email subscriber details (not even how many, let alone who) so I cannot carry them across myself. ↩

If you combin...

While I am still in the process of transitioning from Listed to Bear Blog, I am going to use this way of promoting new posts. If you have not yet subscribed to the new blog, please do so by opening any of the posts below, scrolling to the bottom of of the page and choosing email or RSS. That mailing list will kick-in in November. These three posts are on a theme. In each I take a claim about the importance of using AI and unpack what is going on 'under the hood'. The (alleged) moral imperativ...
