  • Flying wing planes- It is harder to control as they don’t have tails, so they must have powerful computers to stabilise it. That is why there are a few countries in the world which makes flying wing aircraft. Example — DRDO GHATAK ( INDIA ), S-70 Okhotonik ( RUSSIA ), B-2 Spirit ( USA ).

  • Kurt Tank, the engineer behind many famous and also Adolf Hitler’s personal aircraft, is the person to also design the HAL HF-24 MARUT, India’s first homegrown fighter jet.

  • The MiG - 25 Foxbat, was one of the most classified fighter jets. It was one of the fastest and highest flying fighter jets too. The plane was hijacked by its own pilot, Lt. Viktor Belenko of the SADF on 6th of September, 1976, and landed it in the Hakodate Airport in Japan. The United States and Japan disassembled the jet, causing high tensions between the Soviet Union and Japan. The jet was later sent back in crates, with an USD 40,000 bill for packing and for the damage of airfield at Hakodate. India also had these, in secrecy. It was announced that India had it only once it was about to retire. This was also the jet said to be used in the Islamabad incident. This incident is not confirmed.
