Maybe the calming medicine has started to take effect by now. I felt a bit out of sorts today after a friend was a little abrupt yesterday, which is pretty typical for her. The clutter around the house felt a little overwhelming at times. Going into town for church really helped brighten my day. People there recognized me, and that made a big difference—it's always nice to have some warm, personal interaction, especially since things can feel a bit distant at home with my housemate who is on the Autism spectrum. The connection and conversation really lifted my spirits.
Later, I participated in a video conference for people with brain health concerns, led by a licensed support leader. It was a really reassuring experience, and I felt understood and supported there.
Before that, I also had brought home an unagi bento with fresh water eel for my housemate, and they really enjoyed it! I can go back to the store and pick up more if needed. I also had japjai noodles—probably potato noodles with pepper—for lunch at home. Japjai are common in Korean cuisine.
The day is moving along nicely. I planned to work on some free writing today. I did feel a little overwhelmed when I tried to write at the convenience store—it might have been my symptoms combined with the stress of spending most of my time at home and the current mood. But overall, I’m glad I could get some writing done today.
