Proof for the Bible: Introduction

Over the next six weeks, we are going to look at the evidence for the Bible. These blogs will never answer every question, nor will it anticipate every possible objection. What is desired is to put enough information in the hands of all the readers to go deeper with their own questions and study for themselves.

The six points to be discussed are:

  1. The Historical Proof
  2. Scientific Proof
  3. Archaeological Proof
  4. Prophetic Proof
  5. Manuscript Proof
  6. Summation leading toward proof

Each one of these points is designed to lay a foundational level of understanding. Each point shows the Bible is not just a random book, but is an inspired, preserved, and authoritative truth that all will either submit to, or be judged by. This does not mean we do not have:

  1. points that are hard or impossible to understand.
  2. Historical contexts that are no longer known today.
  3. Differences of how the Greek and Hebrew words are used.
  4. Some text that seem to be confusing in light of other passages.

Through the above six points, we will hopefully answer these four bottom points, and even more. Therefore, my prayer is that God's Word is seen in a new light and all will see the truth of the Bible in their lives.
