A Brethren answer to Humanism

Humanism is defined as a belief that emphasizes the ability, advancement, and agency of humanity outside the existence of God. Brethren recognize the existence of God, and His authority over all of mankind. When someone decides to remove God, and instead focuses inwardly toward themselves, they inevitably become 'god'! It is not that Humanists do not have faith, they do. They believe, not in a Theocracy but an anthropological theocracy. They are god themselves.
The danger becomes the subjective manner in which humanism functions in the realm of their actions and reactions in this world. Whereas a Christian has moral absolute, and can make the connection as to WHY something is right or wrong, a humanist can only declare something as right or wrong but have no basis upon which to make that judgment call. The only basis is what is best for humanity as a whole. The issue becomes much deeper when that takes a different approach.
Think of Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Po Pot, and many modern day leaders such as XI, Kim Jung Un, and other socialist, tyrannical nations. A humanist cannot, with any clear convictions, state why what they do is wrong in the way they treat their citizens, and the way they rule their nations. All that can be said is, "it is wrong." My question is, "Why?" If they feel they are doing what is best for the people, usually supporters and part of the leadership, why is that wrong? Why is the atrocities of millions being killed, for the sake of a nation, wrong?
This is not to say it is right, but we as Brethren can point to a real reason "why". A humanist can only make a case via collectivism. That is only as subjective as the people being led. Let us not think the USA is immune from this humanistic leading as well. We have seen where those in our society have turned our Department of Justice against Christians who believe in marriage as one man, one woman, for life, under the covenant bonds before God. The previous administration flaunted and promoted many evil and anti Biblical actions, attitudes, and lifestyles, while telling everyone, especially Christians, to deal with it. Why? For them, it reflects the truth of Romans 1:18-32. Those who held to objective truth (gender is a scientific and unchangeable fact, men and women are different, forced injections of the covid shots were morally wrong, and profiting off of corruption is horrid) were vilified, and swift judgment brought against them in this "free" country". Even now, this post is probably getting someone angry, rather than addressing the points brought out.
This is why we find the mindset of "let the government take care of everything". This has brought out the call that everyone should have free healthcare, minimum wages, homes, cars, jobs, etc. A Christian, and especially Brethren, believe we should work for what we need and have. We are individualistic, and we have a hard work ethic to provide for our own. One trusts God to provide through our work, and humanists position themselves to be the source for all things to be given. They in essence become god. A Christian is, or should, be one of the best citizens a nation has, until that nation goes against God's Word, the Bible, but a humanist believes in forced coercion and have become the vehicle for all kinds of evil and atrocities in our world. Yes, humanists have done some good, but their foundation is built on a subjective foundation.
Humanism seeks to displace the One true God with billions of individual gods. Each one as unique as the individual who created that god. They position themselves as the final arbitrator of what is right and wrong but Brethren believe, or should believe, the Bible is our final authority in all manner of life, faith and existence. We recognize One God. He is the One we trust for provision. He is the One to whom we owe our whole allegiance. He is the One that we follow absolutely. Humanism sees mankind as good, Brethren recognize mankind as sinful and evil. We must have God provide a way for our salvation (which He did through Jesus Christ), and break our slavery to sin. When the humanist system, or even a system as exceptional as the American form of free market and Constitutional Republic form of representation, steps into the path of trying to be god, then we have a higher calling to reject that and obey God Himself. We can do no other as Christians, and as Brethren.
Lastly, humanism can do nothing to solve the problem of all mankind. The problem is sin. Sin is in each of us, and without Jesus, we are destined to spend an eternity in a place called hell. Christianity, and Brethren included, recognize that we are in need of a savior to redeem us from our sinful flesh. Then we are given God's righteousness and we are able to stand before Him as our Creator and King.
