AD21//Day 11 out of 25

(Listed was down.)

ELEANOR - in captivation, eclipsed
HENRIETTE - in desire, diminished
NIKANOR - holder of a broken goblet

ELEANOR enters with a broken sheath, containing a broken sword.

ELEANOR
There was a little disturbance besides the roaming of the mist,
Wherein neither your remembrance survived.
There was a little growth in the garden destroying our masterful beliefs
Which not one of us dared to pulverize.
I dread you, and you, standing before my eyes
Freely complacent, accepting anything alive
Be it the loving of wrongness or the resurrection-ing
Only I dared to cut it and now my sword became mirror shards

HENRIETTE
I dare not, you dare not stop the purge from happening
I kid not, it is wrong of you to cut them out
Living recesses burn on their own when they are left
In their own measures, if their means justify the ends
But see, did these invasive species rot when unsupervised
See, did they give you shivers when their leaves ran dry
Growing tall as the heavens, wings made from limbs

Of the corpses of the failed-to-last upbringing

See these flowers adorned on me will never wilt
Yet you reached for the ending before it was supposed to seep
In through the curtains of nature, if they're fated to live
They will last for millennia without our caring

ELEANOR
And you, Nikanor? Would you also justify
Banishment is an order only for the kind
Would you affirm in order, since only you decide
Which is to be believed and what truth becomes lies,
Would you punish awareness for not rising to fear
Going against the heavens for the sake of what held dear,
Or will you whip the innocent, labeled ignorant,

For not knowing "not knowing" is the right one?

In this court, someone bows saying they understand
But look down on the unlearned, who they all once was
Crying out, seems the sheath knows more than the fight
Seeing after the sin, it developed dislike
I demand Henriette be hardened for her whims
If she wished every weak one be punished for their tears
And if she says the timid should not exist
Then please erase her childhood, thus erasing who she is.

HENRIETTE
Disagree with full passion, with full spite, and with full dread
Fear will destroy the foundation but construct happiness
Do not only the strong that push off their gold
Seek it harder, and then finding silver is worth more
Do not listen to iron wielding out their swords
When in duels of speeches they stutter out their words
Do not listen to failures relying on wrath

What grew in our paradise is for the better

I will see for myself they know me as a god
But as god, I cannot wield wishes at my hands
As I am no meteor shower they pray for their wealth
They will grow much further than the garden's gates
Let me lead you, if you let me, into their homes
And see them do denounce you, with wills of their own
See the swords of the chosen ones no longer cut
For to be persuaded by this woman is yielding to wrath

NIKANOR
Be it heaven or earth, be it the petals of a phlox
What sounded so high always loses the most
If I punish, the apathetic do not learn

They disclose their scars to foes, they call them scarrings

And to you, a liar who lies to protect your cheats
Bribery is a sin beloved only by those who win
Without wishes left granted, love alone grows

And when it grows beyond it reach, it poisons millions

Lead me then, both, to the garden, eden's replica
Tell me which one of you serpents wishes for its downfall more
Your sword broke out of anger, and yours out of doubt
In a perfect paradise, both will still rust out.
These absurd fascinations made over time compare
Themselves too much to handcraft works made out of thin air
Not from hands of a human, but gears of a brain

Made of wires not axons, made of real, synthetic faces.

These are gems, copper, currencies exchanged for goods
Only for resolution, growth was never good
If the ends justify whichever the future may hold
Then more valuable gold, is the cards' predictions
You are neither goddesses nor princesses nor witches made
You are voices, just noises hollering for change
All decisions are snow: cold, melt in summer's gaze
Worth less than trinkets, only more valuable than knowledge

Martin Luther King Jr. once said that “Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will.”; then, would you also deprive the shallow ones of the opportunity for experience under the logic that the ends justify the means?
