Slow Christmas | Su 12/25

This entry was condensed since I wrote about it from memory days afterwards. It isn't being published until even later after.

  • Woke up at like 11 and missed church. Adrian left to pick up BBQ chicken since it was open for Christmas
  • The chicken was amazing and we ate so much. Later we baked cookies with the last of the dough and our torn shapes resembled a map of the world, which was fun
  • Adrian saw me play Left 4 Dead and I convinced him to play it. It was funny being in a call and messing around together, but he eventually got to mentally stimulated and had to quit
  • We used Matthew's steak in pasta and froze the rest, but the image of cling-wrapped steaks placed in the freezer made me lose it.
  • At 11 we went to Redondo Beach and it was so peaceful walking around in the quiet. I also had a strange moment peeing into the ocean at the encouragement of Adrian and assurance that the public restrooms were locked. The whole experience (other than going to the bathroom) made me realize why people enjoy having access to the beach and live in California in general.
  • Afterwards we went to McDonald's and feasted. I went to bed with the couch still moved into the kitchen as a third seat for the dinner table
