A little over two years ago[1], I attempted to participate in the #100Days of writing, but failed miserably(got up to day 9).
Though, maybe failure is a matter of perspective.
In 2019, I had started writing a guided journal called the Intellectual Will and after many starts and stops, I’m happy to share I self-published the journal[2] on October 1st. I currently have the digital versions available and the paperback versions available for preorder. You can look back at my old Listed posts for my early reflections.
I didn’t write for #100Days, but I finished the journal and for the month of October 2021, I wrote everyday on Instagram a poem or affirmation[3].
After writing for 31 days straight, I wanted to continue reflecting and didn’t feel like my newsletter[4] or social media accounts were the places for daily commentary.
I’m going to give writing for #100Days another shot. I’ll use Listed for my daily commentary on my journey to building Lima Pea Co.[5] and for my writing. This will serve as my build in public repository.
What I’m currently working on in terms of writing:
- Getting the journal into the hands of high schools, colleges, and corporations.
- I finished my brand kit and I’m working on editing it
- I am finishing up an application for entering an author cohort.
- Figuring out what type of writing I want to post on social media and on my website.
- Finishing up an extended abstract for journal publication.
Goals for tomorrow
- Shorten the extended abstract to the journal word count.
- Outline my writing sample for the author cohort application.
- Post on Instagram an affirmation
- Write Listed update
- Add newsletters from Lima Pea Co. to Listed
