Metal and Water are the two Yin CFs. Unlike the Yang CFs (Wood and Fire) Metal and Water like and need some solitude, at least some days - the Yin CFs are Yin: passive, dark, mysterious, feminine as opposed to the Yang: aggressive, loud, bright, masculine.
The Metal CF is represented by Alchemist, a person who creates something out of nothing, who understands and decrypts the world. Metal is spiritual, seeking order, valuing beauty, organizing and analyzing things. Metal has the strongest sense is justice and is quick to judge and evaluate things. Metal organs (Lung and Large Intestine) give us talents for critical and analytical thinking, symmetry and beauty, harmony and complexity. The Metal CF excels "in the box" as opposed to "out of the box" - they choose professions related to Law, Medicine, Architecture, justice and usually excel in their fields later in life (Metal phase of the human life are the 60s and 70s).
Metal CF's greatest strength and greatest weakness are organs of Lung and Large Intestine. Issues of skin, inspiration and allergies (Lung is the organ most exposed to the outside world), issues with "letting go" on physical but also on other levels. Emotionally, the Metal type has tendencies to OCD, anal retentiveness, a need to control and organize things to no end.
Metal CF needs regularity on every level and does not do well in changing environments. There is that sense of rigidity and lack of flexibility that penetrates every of the 5 layers of being. To bring ease and wellbeing to a Metal (type) person, provide them with order and good routine, sunlight, a beautiful object. Yin CFs also need sleep, good sleep and enough sleep.
