The Anakim were part of the Nephilim

Numbers 13:33 links the Anakim with the Nephilim. This is an important passage because it directly relates the sons of Anak (the Anakim) with the Nephilim of Genesis 6:4.

"There also we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak are part of the Nephilim); and we became like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”
