The Country Estate

🇺🇸 My latest project is The Country Estate. Our country estate has over 100 acres of woodland also known as a forest, and over 100 acres of pasture also known as farmland with a private lake too. The estate property is adjacent to over two thousand acres of a state forest preserve, and four thousand acres of a prairie grassland preserve with wild bison also known as buffalo. It's truly amazing. It's an elevated rural escape for Chicagoans, something they have desired for a very long time - a fun place to escape for the weekend that doesn't require them to spend several hours in flight to get there.
There will be so many activities that you will never be able to complete them all, no matter how many times you return, but you are welcome to try. We will have an equestrian center with stables and thoroughbred horses for horse-back riding, a polo field for equestrian games and lessons, a private lake for sailing, rowing, kayaking, paddle boarding or swimming. Motor boats, jet skis, and equipment for water sports such as water skiing are all available for hire to be used on the river that runs next to the estate or you can take a river boat cruise up the river which runs through the state forest preserve. Hunting is allowed on some public lands - deer and turkey only, not the bison or other protected wildlife. Clay pigeon shooting and shooting classes are available. Tennis, archery, fishing, hiking, biking... essentially any outdoor activity you desire. You can learn new gardening skills in the estate garden and greenhouse or just relax there. You can volunteer with The Nature Conservancy or take public or private tours of the nature preserves. You can even take flying lessons, go sky diving or take a hot air balloon ride if you desire at nearby establishments, and golfing is available at the nearby golf course if you wish. There is a heated indoor and outdoor pool on the estate, a spa and wellness center to relax or take a yoga class, and an arts and crafts campus to inspire your creativity, including a pottery barn, woodworking barn, and textiles barn... that will make any art school campus look like child's play. You can even visit the estate gallery in the checkered farmhouse for an exhibition on American art as well. We also have a great hall with numerous musical instruments if you want to pick up a new skill, and a recording studio for serious musicians. There is a theater for film screenings or intimate performances by the resident musician to entertain guests. There is also a real farm-to-table restaurant serving both Italian and American cuisines. This retreat is like no other you will find in the Chicagoland area, or anyone else in the world.
