Police 'real-estate' collaboration

Police 'real-estate' collaboration

A partial powerpoint slide showing the next step is to look at three firestations for co-location. Wotton-under-Edge is highlighted.

Scant detail at the Police & Crime Scrutiny meeting at GCC, 23rd March, but it looks crime has increased in Wotton-under-Edge since April 2023 with an average of 36 crimes a month. A 76% increase from the 2019 baseline but within levels to be expected for a town like ours, apparently.

It seems that the Police are looking at sharing 'real-estate' and collaboration at the Fire Station.

Given that the last time I checked the 999 response time to Wotton was 24 minutes, something needed to happen.
