The drill

My furbaby absolutely loves visiting the pet shop.

He knows the routine perfectly: he steps onto the weighing machine, waits for me to tell him to get off, checks out some treats and toys, sniffs around (oh so many smells!), and finally gets a free treat at the checkout from the shop assistant.

My furbaby thrives on routine. He’s completely on autopilot in the pet shop, going through everything step by step. He hardly has the time to greet other dogs or human, he won’t let himself getting off track like that. 🤩

When I’m getting our shopping scanned, he sits patiently behind the counter, waiting for his treat. If the shop assistant doesn’t notice him, he stretches up to the counter to get some attention. Once he’s had his treat, he’s out the door, not bothering with a thank you or even a farewell look. 挥挥手不带走一片云彩。He might enjoy the military!
