Failure

I rarely, if ever, use the word “failure” as it implies a finite ending point.

Life is a continuum where a “miss” better defines what happens when a goal is not met and there is a need to pivot strategy or target.

A “miss” allows that forward progress has still been made (in life and or toward the goal) and the pivot point is a part of the process.

The greatest metric is whether one has done their best.
