Forces of nature, come to stay
My sincerest apologies for the cause of delay
Many hearts distributed on this very day
Red riders roaming around the streets on low pay

Cause of celebration known only to the rich of heart
Business booming because they changed up the art
Of sales for this day, it's a zealous play
Show them love; show them kindness so that
They'll let down their play

Valentine, what a name
You wanna say it in a rhyme
Play a chime at the corner store
Where you can buy drugs, but not wine

What a shame, love is lame
Until you light up your flame
Acting tame in these times of strife ain't for the sane

Fast lane on the highway, bleeding hearts on fire
Knee-jerk reactions to thoughts that try to rewire
Your mindsets to overcome that base desire
Grind harder if you want to reach the limits up higher

Shine brighter in the places where you feel so dark
Light up precious pathways that were left to embark
Leave sight of all the liars that claim to have fed that shark
Climb mountains even higher than the tales you will impart
