• Colossians 2:2–3
• [2] that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, [3] in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 

(E) Explain

• Paul is encouraging the Colossians that although he is not with them physically, he wants them to know the can fully know God, that He is not only within reach, but they can grow in FULL ASSURANCE of understanding and knowledge of God. AND, this mystery, knowledge and wisdom is found in the person of Christ. In Christ are ALL the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 
• Why? Because in v.4 Paul says, "I say this in order that no one may delude you with plausible arguments."

(A) Apply

• I must be encouraged by this as well. I must press into Christ. He is everything. The more I press into Christ, the more my defenses are strengthened - especially against false teaching and 'plausible arguments'.  The more I press into Christ, the more available are the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Why wouldn't I want this? Oh, how much more is there? How much more to partake?

• Jesus, may I rest in you. May I take refuge in you. May I dwell on your Word. May I press in more and more. Lord Jesus, protect my heart and my knowledge of you. Amen
