• The law is good as long it is not used in the wrong way. The law is not for the righteous or the just among us. The law is a diagnostic for those to compare their lives to and their actions to and their beliefs and behaviors to … the list beyond these two verses keeps going … in order to highlight or display the problem. The problem of sin. The law is a diagnostic, a strong contract, to drive them, and all of us, to repentance, to eventually put our faith and trust in Jesus to save us from our sin.

• May I … 1.) not use the law to judge others. 2.) May I continue to use the law to remind myself of the great sin I’ve been saved from. 3.) May the law drive compassion for others. 4.) May this understanding drive me to share the gospel with a lost world!
