240317 - Speculation is not substitute for truth

[53:28] While they had no knowledge about this; they only followed conjecture. And conjecture is no substitute for the truth.

Al'hamdulilah.

Although this section of the chapter 53 is talking about characteristics of individuals who reject God and the hereafter, the lesson and warning that speculation is no substitute for the truth is somewhat standalone.

Very related to

[17:36] And do not uphold what you have no knowledge of; for the hearing, and eyesight, and mind-all these you are responsible for.

Alternatively,

[17:36] Do not follow what you have no ˹sure˺ knowledge of. Indeed, all will be called to account for ˹their˺ hearing, sight, and intellect (fu'ad)

And God is glorious.
