thinking were running away from the gorge that is (the end of the world)

those steps take us (precisely) to the end of the world we were trying to avoid

when youre running away

look ahead

instead of just behind !!

or else the steps we take away from what we fear—may lead us to fall into the very hole we thought we were running from
