Long term plans
Developing a vision for what you want for yourself helps a lot when it comes to planning long term goals.
Some people are born with their compass aligned to their true north, but most of us do not.
I'm not sure if having such an alignment makes any difference in the end, but my impression is that peple who have access to their inner compass have more clarity on most situations in their lives. Also, they can better position themselves in the world over their lifetimes.
So, developing a vision for your future can be hard because of that. When you do not have, or cannot see a direction to take, sailing can take you to places you would not like to be. And then you have to deal with the consequences.
I believe, or at least like to believe, that deep inside of us we all know the answers. We all have a compass, even if it is buried deep down in our hearts. And all we need to do is to dig, until we find it.
Problem is where to start digging, and how deep should we do it before start digging somewhere else.
Or maybe this model is not acurate enough to represent our inner world.
