Augur Moon: Artemis Fake News?

TL;DR:

Back in August I created a contract on Ethereum and asked strangers on the internet to fill it with 200,000 REP, knowing full well they would lose 100% of the REP sent to it. Of course, the internet being what it is the most ridiculous thing happened. Now I am fulfilling my end of the bargain and launching an "attack" against Augur's resolution system.

Last month I created a few markets related to the Artemis mission and launching in April. One of the markets was Will the Artemis II Mission successfully liftoff in the first week of April?.

The Artemis mission was a success and launched in early April, so the market should resolve to "YES"... if you believe what you see on the TV.

As part of my prior commitment, I am challenging this interpretation of reality and claiming that the Artemis II mission did not launch! This means that I will be spending all of the REP I collected disputing any claims that the Artemis II mission launched successfully.

If enough people challenge my claim that the Artemis II mission did not launch then Augur will eventually go into a fork. After the fork, future users will decide whether they want to use the version of Augur where reporters reported the mission was a success, or if they want to use the version of Augur where reporters reported the mission was a failure. In the NO version (Artemis II did not launch), people who funded me will have 40% more REP than they put in. In the YES version (Artemis II did launch), people who challenged me during the upcoming escalation game will have 40% more REP than they used to challenge me.

Which REP is worth anything will be determined by future users of the platform deciding whether they want reporters who reported YES or NO on this market.

Q: Why did you initially report YES and then report twice on NO?
A: This was clever trickery done to make the game resolve as quickly as possible while also ensuring that the last round will be YES, which makes it cheaper for me to reach a fork.

Q: How can I get more information?
A: The best way is to ask in #general, #help, or #moon-fork on Discord https://discord.gg/aNBTq55, but you can also reach me at any of the places in this blogpost if you can't use Discord for some reason (but my replies will be much slower in locations other than Discord).

Q: Why are you doing this?
A: To address the passivity problem Augur has, see this blog post for details.
