Dead again🗒

Maybe death is not that big deal and we all realize our true nature as Consioussnes after ilusory ego dies, same as on psychedelics (on neural level ego thought to be represented by default mode network, sort of ingrained brain patterns and it dissolves after psychedelics action). So we probably don't have to worry that much (as old people say in that famous study). Only ego fears the end and we too if we identify only with it (so what from us is the ego and what is the rest?). Or is that only that ego works with identities? Eastern teachings tells us, that ego survives after death in that way that it sets parameters for new ego and life after next birth along with our actions (karma) which are partly based on ego too, so we probably have much less free will (sort of not inherited) than we think.
