AD21//Day 13 out of 25

So, before being sent off to the convent as part of a family tradition to become priests or paladins, you spent your last week touring around the territory with your elder sister and elder brother, or in the grand palace library with the youngest princess of the kingdom, or rereading out the letters you sent your friends for the last time.

At the end of it all, you found invitations from people you've never met before, but are of higher ranks than you. There were four of them in total, and you only have the weekend left for their desired tea time schedule. So you choose which of these strangers you'd like to meet.

Saturday
Dessa Anne Fenyvesi

  • second daughter of the county of Fenyvesi. You never met her before. She is saying that she is coming here to bid me farewell.

Lycoris Csizmadia

  • eldest daughter of the county of Csizmadia. You never met her before. She is saying that she is coming here to meet you, as you two will be going to the same place for apprenticeship.

If you choose Dessa Anne:
Phase 1 is simple greetings and so on. This woman seems to know a lot about you, despite not meeting you before. She talks a lot about your elder sister too.

  • She keeps insisting that she came here on behalf of your sister, and you should be ashamed that you didn't have a farewell party. Others who are going to the convent to study in the nobility had a farewell party, she said, even baronies.
  • She also knows a lot about your family history, especially about your parents' past together. You confront her about this and she tells you that she once lived with them before you were born. That is somehow odd, as she is almost the same age as you.
  • She tells you that this will be the first and last time the two of you will meet, as she knows that without you in the house, her death will come soon.
At this point, you will be given a choice on what type of tea you will give her.

Phase 2 is all about choosing the right expressions and giving suggestive snacks to know the truth about Dessa Anne. If you fail to do this, you will be forced to repeat Phase 2 on Sunday, locking you out of the boys. You can fail once on the body language but not on the snack.
Walkthrough:

  1. Cross your legs
  2. Give her a strawberry tart
  3. Lean away from her
  4. Giver her a chocolate brownie
  5. In the end, you will realize that the Dessa Anne in front of you right now is being possessed by your grandmother, who was heavily against your parents' union, but always came to see her grandchildren. She was publicly shamed by the nobility, leading to her hiding away until Countess Fenyvesi took her in as a maid.
  6. You find out that she is about to disappear and just wants to see her family last time through Dessa Anne, who is also going to become an apprentice in the convent. However, the moment Dessa Anne enters the monastery, the other priests and priestesses will know of her presence and take her away. She then asks you to take care of Dessa Anne in the convent, and where her grave is in the Fenyvesi's manor.

If you choose Lycoris:
Phase 1 is all about getting to know each other. She tells you about her family and you tell her about yours. You share the same love for lakes and rivers, and both of you don't really want to be priests but are forced into the role of being gifted enough to memorize scripture.

  • The conversations slowly turn towards other noble children who will be taken to the convent. She tells you of the twin daughters of a barony, who have been said to make miracles out of their hands, heal the sick, and cure the blind. It slowly develops into her wishing she could do the same, and you agreeing with her.
  • You figure that she is a just person who wants the future children of her house to not have the same fate as her. She tells of you tales she had heard about from other houses wherein men and women that refuse to be married have been sent to the convent without their will, and ending up bitter and remorseful.
  • She tells you that she is excited to be friends with you in the convent, despite knowing that boys and girls are not supposed to interact with each other and apprentices in general shouldn't be focusing on anything other than their studies. At this point, you will be given a choice on what type of tea you will give her.

Phase 2 is all about choosing the right expressions and giving suggestive snacks to know the truth about Lycoris. If you fail to do this, you will be forced to repeat Phase 2 on Sunday, locking you out of the boys. You can fail once on the body language but not on the snack.
Walkthrough:

  1. Scratch your chin
  2. Give her a macaroon
  3. Touch your neck
  4. Give her a slice of cheesecake
  5. Through this, you will realize that Lycoris is not a believer of the goddess Cyrillian, and desperately wants to be saved from her fate of becoming a nun. Knowing that you, too, are not going to the convent of your own volition, she is asking for mutual protection, since she knows once she goes in there, she can never get out. She tells you how much her family went against her desire to have a different profession since she has a talent for the church. You agree with what she fights for, but tell her that you will not spout blasphemy against the goddess with her. She then insists that if you cannot curse the goddess at that moment, you are against her. You don't.

SUNDAY
You will only be able to meet them if you succeed on the previous day.

Luciano Aurum Bognar

  • heir and eldest son from a nouveau-riche family of merchants seeking alliance and connections in the duchy your family's territory is governed by. According to his letter, the two of you met before but you do not remember.

Undwen Lius Coburg-Kohary

  • cousin with the princess that you are friends with, the second son of the Duchy of Coburg-Kohary, who governs the north, including your territory. He says he wants to come with you when you leave for the convent.

If you choose Luciano:
Phase 1 is a bit awkward, with Luciano acting like you have been friends with him for years, telling you about memories that didn't really happen, and expressing a very strong (sarcastically spoken) desire to keep you away from the convent.

  • He will seem delusional to you, and he will quickly pass off every time you mention that what he said never really happened. He is adamant that the two of you always talk with each other during the goddess's festivals. You may notice that he blushes a little.
  • There will be a bit of a tantrum scene here when you suggest that he thinks that way because someone has been pretending to be you. He vehemently denies it and starts loudly exposing all of the things you like and dislike, the exact dates when your pets died, every life-threatening injury you ever had, and the most embarrassing moment of your life.
  • He tells you that the reason he seems unfamiliar is because he changed a lot when he and his family earned a lot of wealth. He also hints that you might see each other in the convent if you choose to go (which he sarcastically implies is a very bad idea) and he seems to know a lot about the goddess Cyrillian. At this point, you will be given a choice on what type of tea you will give him.

Failing Phase 2 leads to a bad ending wherein you go to the convent alone. Just like in Saturday, this is all about choosing the right expressions and giving them suggestions through snacks until you find out the truth. You can fail at the body language once, but not on the snack. On the final choice, you will have to choose two snacks instead of one.
Walkthrough:

  1. Lean towards him
  2. Give him a slice of cheesecake
  3. Open your palms towards him
  4. Give him a slice of key lime pie and a cupcake in an orange wrapper
  5. Luciano is not delusional. He has been a voice in your head, receiving your messages whenever you pray during the goddess's festivals. For most of his life, he has been a part of the convent, and you would've known his name and history should you choose to go there. However, he chooses to go with his biological family instead of staying as someone akin to the barony's miracle twin daughters, doing something as asshole-ish as impersonating the goddess herself in other people's prayers for the escape to succeed in the process. This earned him the wrath of Cyrillian, not granting any of his wishes and banishment from the convent. He desperately wishes to see you, the one he grew attached to. If you go to the convent alone, he will follow you and the convent will also banish you out of connection to him. So in the good ending, you stay together, and, well, Luciano burns the convent.

If you choose Undwen:
Phase 1 is forceful and Undwen will more or less infodump you on his life story of wanting to be friends with you but always getting cockblocked by your childhood friend the youngest princess. It may seem through his words that he's really trying to get close to you so you'll agree to take him to the convent.

  • Undwen will always contradict his words many, many times, converting from one story to another: he needs to go to the convent to become an apprentice; he needs to go to the convent to meet up with his lover who is becoming an apprentice; he needs to go to the convent because his real mother is being held captive there; he's confusing.
  • When you finally tell him to tell the truth as to why he wants to go to the convent with you and that you don't like him flattering you to get what he wants, he brings out a riding crop and threatens to kill you with it if you don't let him come. You try to fight back of course, and then he hits you. He keeps hitting you every time you try to speak against him until you settle on a question: "Why can't you go to the convent on your own?"
    • He tells you that he needs someone to act as a human shield for him, and doesn't tell you more. He then threatens you to talk about mundane stuff in case your servants or siblings are listening in.

Failing Phase 2 leads to a bad ending wherein you go to the convent alone. Just like on Saturday, this is all about choosing the right expressions and giving them suggestions through snacks until you find out the truth. You can fail at the body language once, but not on the snack. On the final choice, you will have to choose two snacks instead of one.
Walkthrough:

  1. Cross your arms
  2. Give him a cookie
  3. Imitate his gestures
  4. Give him another cookie two times
  5. You will soon realize that Undwen is a fugitive in danger from both you and his family. He came here planning to seek asylum in the convent with you as a cover. He doesn't trust you but the youngest princess said you were trustworthy, and he trusted her despite knowing that your own family is capable of assassinating him. Due to all the relaxation you had been doing, you had no idea that this person in front of you was wanted for accidentally killing a royal family member just a few days ago. When you accepted his invitation, your family saw it as an opportunity to catch him, pretending not to know of the circumstances and sedating every snack except the cookies (ever since saturday this is the only thing you've been eating). The bad ending is more or less you fighting back against Undwen, crippling him out of doubt and distrust, and living with that guilt. The good ending is when you choose to cooperate with Undwen, stowing him with you when you ride to the convent, and then he changes his identity.
