Hard Times
Hard times create strong men,
Strong men create good times,
Good times create weak men,
Weak men create hard times.

What kind of times are we in now?
Don't like how what schools are teaching our children?
Don't like our Chatham County taxes going up year after year?
Don't like our Senators and Representatives continually spending into more debt?
Don't like open borders, mandates from the government, spying by the IRS, abandoning our overseas allies, groveling before China?
Then DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
Everyone is busy. Are you too busy to save your country? We need conservative men and women to run for office at the local, state, and federal level. The time is getting close to file for election. If you are the person to run for office, let me know at ccgop_chair@pm.me.
National Debt
This past week eight Republican and all Democrat senators voted to raise the national debt ceiling, adding $480 billion in debt to last only through the 3rd of December. Neither of our North Carolina senators did so, thankfully. There is no line of reasoning that can claim our national debt is not a huge problem. We know it, they know it. When candidates for office come asking for your money this next year, make sure you know their voting records before you write a check. Support the good candidates; ignore the other requests.
Learn more about our children's education
The keynote speaker at our annual Reagan Day dinner this year is Russ Vought, president of the Center for Renewing America. Come hear his thoughts on the state of America and our schools on November 13 at Governors Club. More information and tickets are available here.
Do Something
'Doing something' doesn't necessarily mean volunteering for the Republican Party (although we are all volunteers and need your help!). Express your opinions at school board and county commissioner meetings. Talk to your neighbors about your principles. Write letters to the editor. Help out with Voter Registration drives. Become a paid election worker. Pass out literature outside the polling places. Monitor what is being purchased at the county libraries. Sign up to be on government committees.
Fly the American Flag.
I am only one.
But still I am one.
I cannot do everything,
But still I can do something;
And because I cannot do everything,
I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.—Edward Everett, American Orator and Scholar (1794-1865)
