One day

I look into the past and I see my most imprinted memories. Memories of my most sad moments and joyful ones. Memories of satisfaction and failure. Memories charged of strong and opposite emotions. I make an effort, and I can evoke some peaceful memories, mainly of nature. Nature always brings me peace.

Life is a long road with multiple forks and no signs. You take one path without knowing where it will lead you, and you walk forward, sometimes a bit backwards, but mainly forward. On the road you encounter lots of surprises. Some are fortunate ones and help you on your journey. You feel energetic, light, hopeful and happy. Some others throw spanner in the works, lowering your energy, self-steam and bringing frustration and sadness. Then, you either keep on walking, slowly, shambling, or you sit on a stone to think or to simply rest. Sometimes, the weather will not join you and a big storm will fall leaving you soak. Those are hard days.

"Why?" might you wonder, despite knowing the void of the answer. We like to understand why things happen, what it is the cause, what we need to learn to be a better version of ourselves. It is true that you can always learn, but there is not always a reason for what happens in life. We just wish there would be, so it would give us certain control and tell us how redirect our steps. Still, we try. At the end, it is better to walk than to be stuck for long periods of time.

Being stuck. How many of us have felt stuck and tried to change aspects of our life with minimal success. We are in an immutable time. Sometimes change does not occur even investing lot of energy. But it will eventually take place.

"How long will it take?" we wonder. Simple: the time that needs to be.

We remind afloat, knowing that one day the wind will change and will blow in the right direction, the path will be smooth and flat again. We'll laugh again and will admire the ease and peace of life.

Yes, this day is getting closer. Let's welcome it stoically with a smile on our faces.
