Woke up for KT session, got ready and drove into work, and the day was pretty productive. Gonzalo pulled me aside and told me to be careful of how close I look with coworkers since someone confused me for Vibha's husband from the pictures we took yesterday. I just had my hand on her shoulder but I guess that was suspect enough for at least one person to guess it. Maybe I'm just on edge after everything related to girls I've been through recently, but I feel like a dog in a bad way. Lesson learned I guess.
I'm fasting because of the wellness screening after work, but Nicole made me realize I should've done it in the morning since I fast overnight anyways. I guess I'll just put up with the tiredness and hunger for today.
My day has also been a bit hectic. The rest of the team had some disagreements about this pet project Nicole and I were assigned, so they eventually got into a call to discuss how best to let us learn and eventually contribute to the product. It was nice to understand the mindset I should have towards learning now, but the meeting got a little bit stressful since I didn't really need to be there, the fast was getting to me, and was going dangerously close to 3 PM. That didn't even matter since I had trouble finding my car in the garage and traffic picked up somewhat by the time I got to it.
I wanted to get gas since it's cheap now, but I also figured I'd get groceries at Costco while I was there. The trip wasn't too bad, and I even bought food court goods for right after the wellness screening. Traffic on the way back was rough though, and I barely had enough time to print the form and drive to the CVS on time even though I planned to have plenty spare.
The screening was alright. It was nice asking health related questions to the nurse practitioner and getting to hear her talk about things like healthy blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Speaking of which, my blood seems to be ripe (112/74 pressure, total cholesterol 123, HDL 53). I'd like to think it's due to my good habits and lifestyle, but maybe it's just my youth and genes doing the heavy lifting. Either way I'll take it.
After the screening I was so tired I didn't feel like working out as I planned. I just ate my cold Costco food and napped on the couch for hours. Afterwards I played some Osu and got the idea to check if Ascension was up, which is was. It was surreal looking through the Left 4 Dead 2 workshop at 11:30 PM again, as if I was living in November 2020 again.
