My day started later than usual since I get to be remote and only felt the need to log in at 9 AM. Even then I was mostly phoning things in and acting surprised when my meeting with Nicole turned out to be unproductive. I kind of felt like a monster since I was overdue on shaving and never got around to it during the day.

In fact I was in complete monster mode, eventually playing Osu and sinking a lot of time into Left 4 Dead 2 mods (which I forgot can take a whole day to configure if I want absolutely everything to be changed).

I also kept putting off eating since I didn't have much of an appetite, but even when I did I just ate snacks like the rest of the olive oil cake. This monster behavior continued after I logged out of work. I went on an Osu streak and fell into "one more song" mode until I had to leave for volleyball barely having done my tape or having eaten yet.

Also during the day Ben wanted to call, which was nice to be able to take on a whim. I talked about work, he started about school, and we got into volleyball talk since he started playing again. I eventually had to end the conversation since I had that meeting with Nicole, but it was still nice to get to chat like before.

I figured I should at least pack food for volleyball since I hadn't eaten much until that point and would be playing badminton afterwards. It was a good idea, but the games happened constantly since we only had 12 people so I never got the chance to eat. Speaking of which, the games were rough tonight. I think I got a few good passes and one great hit, but everything else (passes, sets, serve receive, serving, hits) was rough.

I felt like I was losing people's good will too, but I guess I could be misreading. I got a few more exasperated stares when I messed up things like serving or hitting. There was one scenario when I kept taking the second touch thinking that it was my job since the ball came right to me, only to realize that I was in my setter's way. We also had to get Devin's ball from above the roof of the concessions a few times. Overall the night actually had me saying that I'm not good at volleyball and even asking why I love it as much as I do when it doesn't seem to love me back. Maybe it was the lack of food, but I still don't think it's a good sign.

There wasn't anyone working for Texas Assault so we ended around 11 PM when I busted over to Frisco for badminton. The drive was time lost, but it wasn't that busy. Randy and Jeff were there, so I felt comfortable getting used to hitting around before we started games. I'm surprised how serious they got, but I guess that could be how I look with volleyball. Eventually I got to play with Chris, who was have me a crash course on positioning for doubles and giving me tips. A few times it ran as bossy, but I guess he's been spent a lot longer playing and knows what he's doing.

Eventually it was around 1:30 AM when my
right quadriceps started cramping badly. I couldn't stop it with any kind of stretching, but water helped. I also decided against going to badminton again tomorrow morning since I got home around 2:30 AM and need to be ready to be productive with Slander taking time away.
