Touching the Void - Movie Scene Analysis - Rushil Shah

This scene is was portraying the first big incident on Joe and Simon's journey. They have made this scene look really stressful. The use of sound is well used in this scene. They added non-diegetic sounds to this scene, for example, suspenseful music. They did this to create an environment of fear and foreshadowing. I think that this scene is really important because it shows us the difficulties Joe and Simon had to go through on their journey. It also tells us that anything can go wrong at anytime and that could really effect how everything else would pan out. The use of camera angles was also well used.
