Loose Ends

December is here. And it's actually snowing this time! In southern Poland, at least.
You can't really argue that December is a month of reflection. At least in Western culture. It simply is the end of the year; a time to look back on time passed. Even though the January 1st date is completely artificial, there still is much anticipation related to it.
For me, it's not just a time to see reflect on what happened. It's also a time to wrap up loose ends. To apologize, to thank. To make amends. Time of finishing what I left undone during the year. Bringing my personal integrity to a level.
It's kind of cathartic to experience this. Especially when there's significant emotional baggage that you've carried through the year.
December is the time to finally leave it behind.
