Okay, can I? Go ahead, yeah. So the article which I read had a few specific exercises, which I think I've been doing earlier. So specific query here is by writing the three pages every day by hand. Would that be significantly different from writing three pages? On, say on your laptop or any Gadget or device.
00:32
Why? Why should it be different as long as you're able to exercise the writing muscle and allow the brain to free up and express your thoughts, which possibly have been repressed, or which you want to articulate in a better way. How does it matter as long as even if you're speaking and say recording it as a voice?
00:58
Note I somehow feel that maybe the consistency of the exercise will have. Benefits would actually be the reason for the benefits to happen rather than it being merely just by writing by hand. Of course, the physical connect, mind, body, and the other things are not deniable. I'm not saying that it, it isn't true.
01:24
It's exactly like reading, if you say a that reading on a book on a physical book, would would be, I would say, yes, it is different. It is definitely. I, I would say, has has a different visceral experience to it, but uh, two completely negate the benefits or advantages of.
01:51
Reading on Kindle or any device is, I would say. Ah, discrediting not just discrediting technology, but to deny that there are any benefits at all. Which I feel isn't fully correct, but? The other cause for concern is more from the benefits or lack of benefits, which I am yet to see.
02:17
Maybe they're all already are benefits which have accrued, which I don't seem to have recorded or observed in myself. But you should be able to. I I'll not say a measurable outcome, but if there is. Some benefit till now. It has been yes, that I am more aware of the humor in the conversation, and I'm able to put together thoughts, but as a narrative as a structured peace as an article or as an essay is something which I'm yet to come up with that.
02:58
That is something which. Has to have, I think, greater Focus from. For me in the coming. Times in whatever way, and as long as you can do it consistently over a longer period of time. I think eventually you will reach a stage where you are able to. Piece, the article, or the thought or the essay.
03:28
Uh, you may not become Paul Graham, but yes, I, I definitely would want to. Um, to reach that Pinnacle if I may say so. And. Uh, I, I would definitely like to have the my share of Fame and money. Why not? But the question, what I ask myself, and for which I am still struggling for.
03:53
An answer is, why am I actually doing it? What? What is the? Primary motivation or the core idea, which makes me want to write, which makes me want to express. Uh, things on paper or on glass or on a screen using a keyboard. What is the desire? What is the key?
04:19
Factor for me to want to write. If I'm able to frame that logic, or if I'm able to? Use that perspective as to why I want to write and use that as as leverage for writing better and for writing more. Uh, in the. I'll not say long term, but that should see some differences.
04:49
That should make some improvements in my writing. And another aspect, which I have not attempted. I have neglected. Take up is deliberate practice or copying Styles deliberately and also. Work. I need to work more on my craft of being able to. Together. Ah, written. Peace, and then have more ideas.
05:21
So these are the ideas which I can think of offhand, and let's see how things go from here. So? A couple of takeaways. I'll say a few takeaways. One is. Right, more? Be more deliberate about writing. Don't don't just ramble along. Yeah, ramble Along by all means, but be deliberate about it and try and come up with new ideas and try and structure them in an interesting way.
05:52
Uh, maybe packaging it like? You know who's good at packaging? The art of packaging is. I, I think, a skill which I definitely need to. Work on and ask yourself. Be more brutal and not say brutal. Be more direct, be honest with yourself, and in also the answers, what you try.
06:19
And when you ask, answer the questions which you're posing. So, these, I think, should be the key takeaways, uh, from? This chat. I've let let me work on. The micro friction or micro stories and microfocus as the next thought piece and? What interesting ideas can I come up with for the micro aspect of Storytelling?
06:50
Would be. Of interest to me. Okay, thank you.
