Grandma Canning's Shrimp Dip

Who knows if Grandma Canning really invented the recipe. She moved here from Ireland when she was just a girl and had this reputation for making "spaghetti" out of rice and ketchup. In any case, she introduced this wonderful appetizer to our family. It is much better than her recipe for spaghetti.

Ingredients

1 can of shrimp parts

8oz of whipped cream cheese

1 teaspoon milk

Parsley for color

1 tablespoon of horse radish

Dusting of garlic powder

Scallions for flavoring

Whole Wheat Crackers

Instructions

  1. Start by opening the shrimp, draining them, and rinsing them a few times.
  2. Add the cream cheese and mix things up.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients.
  4. Continue to mix things up. I like to use a wooden spoon, although if you're in a rush, you can use a hand mixer.
  5. Serve it in a small bowl surrounded by crackers. I personally like the whole wheat crackers best.
