Everything 'free' is paid for by a taxpayer
November 3, 2021ā¢612 words
A friend forwarded me this framework; it puts everything in perspective. Numbers are as of 2020.
- US Tax Revenue $3,420,000,000,000 (individual and business taxes)
- Federal Budget: $6,550,000,000,000
- National Debt: $29,000,000,000,000 (and growing every year)
- New spending being proposed by the Democrats in Congress: $3,500,000,000,000
Now, let's remove '8 zeros' each time, and pretend this is a household budget:
- Annual family income: $34,200
- Money the family spent last year: $65,500
- Outstanding balance on the family credit card: $290,000
- Additional new credit card debt: $35,000 (more debt than our hypothetical family income)
- Got it? There is no such thing as free money from the government. It all comes out of our wallets or more debt.
Election Results
Here are the local election results:
Pittsboro mayor: Cindy Perry defeated Jim Nass
Pittsboro town council: Pamela Baldwin and James Vose. Michael Fiocco was defeated.
Goldston mayor: Jonathan Hensley
Goldston town council: Brian Burke, Wayne Woody, Lynn Gaines
We wish them the best in their roles, and we will demand from them a solid constitutional approach to governance.
For those of you following the Virginia governor's race, Republican Glenn Youngkin defeated Democrat Terry McAuliffe. That is good news as an indicator of what, with your help, may happen nationwide next fall.
Election 2022 - are you a candidate?
As they say, all politics is local. We need conservative local candidates. This coming election is our opportunity to turn around the Chatham Board of Commissioners and the School Board. It is all about you; I'm asking for you to consider running for office. Talk to your family. Discuss with your neighbors. Pray for direction. Then, if you feel that calling, let me know that you are interested.

Volunteering
Political parties at the County and District level are entirely volunteer organizations. We need your help to ensure that conservative and constitutionally-minded representative government remains viable at all levels. Please consider volunteering to help in the headquarters, to make phone calls, to distribute information, to help fund-raise, and to help get-out-the-vote. And consider becoming a candidate!
Stay Informed!
Political awareness and involvement does not begin and end at the voting booth. It is OUR responsibility to remain informed about the issues impacting our families, our communities, our beliefs, our liberties, and our nation.
The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.
