Haircuts and Jackets | Tu 1/24

My morning was alright, but I woke up early. It was right around 8:20, which is when I wake up for some monthly meetings. It's funny to notice what I think is my body trying to establish patterns. I guess it thinks I want to wake up then and with ~6 hours of sleep.
My meetings were mostly about the automation utility since the rest of the team disagrees what to turn the project into (larger learning opportunity vs smaller bare-bones tool). Nicole and I decided to split keep it small to get it over with, especially when we were reminded that the tool was to help in pushing out a redesign for something else which was already done before the new year.
Other than that my day has been light, but maybe too much so. I looked into a particular Patagonia jacket since Gigi told me she didn't want to use the gift card, but figured that I should deal with mom's North Face return first since they could have something I could exchange for. Maybe the outlets can turn into a fun hangout soon.
After that I didn't feel like doing anything (work, errands, even games) so I napped from around 4:30 to 7, which I guess is also a pattern of sleep. Then I resolved to cut more of the back of my hair since I was watching a lot of videos about layering. I decided not to work out since I only plan on playing volleyball Thursday and Friday, which means every other day should be open, layered and thinned my hair some more, showered, finally did more cleaning, put a package Gigi received inside her apartment to keep it safe, and went to mom's house.
Now may hair looks a bit less like a DIY job, which is good enough for me. Also I was reading manga while eating dinner at mom's house and realized that it appeals to the id, just like those instant karma compilations. I actually think I should be careful with it since I feel like it doesn't hold much value other than sending happy chemicals to my brain.
