I woke up at 9:30 without much sleep, but I figure it balances out with the heavy sleep the day before. I spent a while getting ready, but we pushed back the grocery run so it was fine. It was fun as always hanging out at Costco with Gigi and browsing, and we ate lunch together (Costco sushi is mid) instead of subjecting ourselves to the food court (although I did get a hot dog as a shopping snack).
After eating and dropping the groceries off though, I called about the parking notice (thankfully the office was open) and had a rough time. Even though the failure to pay wasn't our fault, they said that the sign reading "no free parking under any circumstances" should've given us the hint, which is silly to assume. They didn't even let me pay for the reduced amount anymore, so eventually I painfully paid for it in full (along with a freaking $5 service fee).
After that call we met up with Ban and Caiti at North Park and hung out browsing some stores: Gigi having heels adjusted and browsing Converse replacements, Caiti looking at Coach bags and skiing gear, me seeing the new Bottega Veneta store and visiting Maison Margiela again. Eventually we decided to break and meet in Carrollton for dinner and a group workout. The food (wangbal) was a lot and pricey in the end, and Gigi rode to food with Caiti since she needed to charge her phone, but the workout was pretty fun.
That LA Fitness location has hack squats, so it was nice getting to play with one again. I also got the chance to chill and watch the others work abs and hip thrusts afterwards, which was a nice change of pace from doing my own thing alone. It's too bad we left as they closed at 11, so I got to mom's house to get ready for work late.
Alex separately messaged me saying that he read the blog post and is available to talk, so I'll probably try to speak with him soon. Adrian did the same so I'm happy to chat about it. It sounds weird, but I'm feeling much better only a day after being in the pit. I guess hanging out with friends helps, even when you have to pay way too much for parking and food. It's too bad work is back on tomorrow, but I guess even then I can look into EAP and finding a psychologist.
