Why we love the world

Today , on my way to do some yoga, I was surprised to find that it's late autumn , the leaves have turned into yellow or red , they are so beautiful under the blue sky ~

Recently I watched the documentary - 「The Perfect Planet 」, when I was looking at those beautiful trees , I were not only thinking about the beauty of the colors or the shapes of the trees , but also thinking about life ,about carbon cycle , it's amazing , it made me feel like I have some connections with the world ,the planet ,the trees ,the animals , and even the insects。

it also reminded me what Feynman - the famous physicist said (from the documentary 「the fantastic Feynman」)

I have a friend who's an artist and he's sometimes taken a view, which I don't agree with very well. You hold up a flower and say, "Look how beautiful it is." And I'll agree. And he says, I, as an artist, can see how beautiful this is, but you, as a scientist,take this all apart and it becomes a dull thing. And I think that he's kind of nutty.

First of all, the beauty that he sees is available to other people ,and to me too. I believe, although I may not be quite as refined aesthetically as he is, that I can appreciate the beauty of the flower.

At the same time, I see much more about the flower than he sees.I could imagine the cells in there,the complicated actions inside,which also have a beauty.

I mean, it's not just beauty at this dimension of one centimetre, there's also beauty at a smaller dimensions, the inner structure. Also the processes. The fact that the colours and the flower are evolved in order to attract insects to pollinate it is interesting. It means that insects can see the colour.

It adds a question, does this aesthetic sense also exist in the lower forms? Why is it aesthetic? All kinds of interesting questions, which a science knowledge only adds to the excitement and mystery and the aura of a flower. It only adds. I don't understand how it subtracts.

So , I think if we humans are able to know more about the world , maybe we will fall in love with the perfect planet , and maybe we will try our best to protect it rather than destroy it

One of my friends said that if I put a photo taken by iPhone in a blog , it will be excellent . So I have a try , can you feel the beauty of autumn by these pictures , if you can , I think he is right , and I think I can be a excellent photographer too ~
