Oops. Reset my account and forgot about access to the blog. Only just got it back. Hopefully I don't have to reset ever again. Coffee reviews down the line? Maybe. Kinda sick right now and I don't drink coffee when I am sick. More to come :) ...

French Twist Cafe
This was pretty good at start until I finished it lol. Tier: Low A I think overall it tastes pretty fucking good, despite that the chocolate brings it down, it's a syrup - which I suspect most places do but it was also burnt a tad here. Coffee quality was quite good but a place needs to nail both for a S tier ranking. Can't be too upset tho, it was great ...

This is really good! Like seriously. A little more milky than most mochas but the coffee and chocolate blend very nicely (probably due to the milk). There's not much else to say, it was just a very good mocha. Also in mild shock but that's another story. Tier Placement: S- ...

Candor Coffee
It was good until it became ok. Not bad. The chocolate is nice but the coffee is lacking?? Chocolate integration saves this though. The coffee was strong however, in a very comforting way and not overbearing. Also it was hours ago since I had this mocha. (coffee was strong as in it genuinely kept me up for a couple more hours) Still good though. Tier: A ...

This place is like a Sprouts but different. In any case they had a coffee to drink and I tried it. Initially it was bad but then I realized I forgot to mix it. It then tasted like a hot chocolate and less like coffee. It was... like really ok. The chocolate was nice but it was more milky than coffee. Tier: B- ...

I mean... it was good. Ish. Chocolately, yes. Coffee like? It's like drinking a hard seltzer and expecting it to be very alcoholic despite the fact the label saying 4% alcohol content. Yeah, the coffee was weak. It tasted good though. And I liked it enough to give it a small boost. Tier: B ...

First Washington Mocha It was genuinely good; good balance of coffee to chocolate and it wasn't burned or anything. Nails both but isn't spectacular in either. That doesn't mean it's bad, not at all. To call that a mocha is beyond an insult, it's not even a drinkable mocha. It's caffine and water with mocha in name and nothing in spirit. Egregious doesn't even cover it. Disappointed beyond belief. 0/10. Never again. F Tier. ...

Einstein Bros Bakery
Its more hot chocolate than a coffee - like there's a hint of coffee taste but nonexistent while milk/chocolate taste is better if barely. Hell instant coffee (Maxim instant mocha) is better that this. At the very least its not burnt which is has over places like Cafe Ez and Roggenart bakery - both places had either coffee burnt taste or chocolate burnt taste tanking them hard. Sugar level is middling, but enough to make the cut. But the fact its overall flavor is lacking is disappointing, es...

5/20/2023 Actually planned my trip for this and also a bit cheaper than most mochas I've had. I can't complain too much about this mocha. It's somehow good but ever-so-slightly lacking in a way that I want more in a good way. The baseline is excellent- good coffee, good chocolate flavor. It is quality in its simplicity but somehow I wanted it to be better. But sometimes simple is king. I think this is a quality mocha. TIER: S, above Cafe June, Below Rise Up ...

Came here on**** a whim, and the pastries are good! Had the pear and almond tart and half of the Apple croissant. The pastries are good but the coffee is clearly the side show here. It lacked a spirit of a mocha. It tasted kinda fake and burnt too. Sipping it a while it ended up not being that bad, but it certainly wasn't my favorite. TIER PLACEMENT: C, higher end. ...

Lazy Days (Korea)
By god. Genuinely one of the best cups of coffee I've drank so far. It seems so simple when you get it but its rich in chocolate flavor and had a really deep coffee flavor. It just works together better than most mochas I've had. What an absolute treat to drink. Loved it so much we went back there 3 more times. It's now 2 months out from that trip and this is a mocha is still think about. Hell dude, I took their business card even though I'm halfway across the world. When I think about a frea...

This one was really nice. The location was right on the coastline and the inside was filled with bright colors and a lot of assorted art. As for the coffee, it was great. I'd say hitting the mark on both the coffee and chocolate flavors while being distinct in its own way. Pretty simply just great. Nothing particularly to say bad about, but I think it could've strived for higher. A- at least. Probably where I'd put it. ...

This was at a rest station in Korea. Went on a road trip and needed some coffee in the bright and early morning and this is what we found. It's a chain place, first time I've heard of it and yeah. Bad. That's basically this cup of coffee does not instill good feelings. I don't recall liking it, and perhaps I didn't even finish, but when the bar is set pretty high by all the other coffee places... yeah. Chocolate was mid, coffee was burnt. And why was it so... bubbly? C- or lower. ...

I don't even remember this one's flavor. A shit ton of whipped cream on top and some chocolate syrup as well probably didn't do my brain any favors. So it's hard to say. I suppose its probably a C tier range. It is definitely better than any D tier, Korea or not. ...

Tous les Jours is a Korean bakery franchise you can actually find here in America. However, unlike most American places this place's coffee way better than I thought. Cafe Cordialment* (Korea)
By all technicality, this isn't a mocha. You're served a latte with a very high quality cube of dark chocolate, where you stick the chocolate in and start mixing. Due to the temperature, the chocolate starts melting and you have some kind of technically a mocha-type coffee. Regardless, I'll rate it. It's pretty much a mocha in the most broadest terms. This was delicious. Full stop. That chocolate was actually a little too rich but it worked well with the coffee. I can't say too much about th...

0 depth, acidic, and almost sugar water. It's got chocolate sure but it feels like a hot chocolate gone wrong with a splash of coffee to pity it. It is probably one of the most disgusting mochas I've ever had. Actually distasteful, never before had I grimaced with every sip when I drank this mocha. Besides the fact it was overpriced... This is beyond bad. Send this shit to the trash. I didn't even finish it. I finish all mochas/coffee just out of respect for the brew. Not this one. F tier...

International Mochas... and Going Forward.
I went on a trip to Korea some time ago now. And while I may have forgotten most of the fine details, it's still important to write down what I remember of those mochas I've had in Korea. These upcoming notes aren't of anything special but it's nice to have some kind of note (except for the worst mocha and the best mocha, I wrote a tad more for those). I guess I have been lazy lately, lazy to go out and lazy to just do things. I think going forward things should change. Just slowly to start. ...

It wasn't bad... It was quite strange. First thought was "too sweet" and then I kept drinking. Then I thought "too artificial" but the coffee quality is good. Costa Coffee
I'm not dead. I just haven't travelled much to go and get mochas. But I'll try my best. Now, the review: Good fucking god this is the worst mocha I ever had the pleasure to consume in my life so far. Only Starbucks can rival the horrendous burnt and lifeless flavor this coffee has. It is more water than coffee, perhaps just coffee flavored water than calling it coffee itself. I would barely put it over Starbucks, because Starbucks is downright terrible. Call this "mocha" in name a literal inc...

This was smooth. Tasty, too and had all the aspects of a mocha, 'cept the deep chocolate taste I'm chasing. (I had this mocha a while ago and it has been a couple days. Oops.) I'm... let down. I've had this drink twice because I forgot about drinking it the first time. The second time it was the same. It may be because I ordered a large size with only 2 shots, but it just wasn't the same as 85%. Besides that, It's still quite the mocha. Strong chocolate flavor with coffee flavor trailing behind. The chocolate still carries this cafe's mocha. It's no wonder all of the varieties have scored in A...

We are quite close with this. REALLY CLOSE. And I mean the same taste of Vigilante (current top).  I tasted the similarity when I first drank it, but it seems like we need to go further with the chocolate taste. It was like a tease. Trying to find the best mocha here is hard as fuck. Perhaps trying 100% for next time is good. Seriously though, this place might be it. It has everything, just missing the deep chocolate part. Interesting. This place has 4 different levels of chocolate they put into their mocha. 100, 85, 70, 55. I had 70 which was recommended to me by the barista, and it was pretty rich in chocolate. It isn't as sweet which was expected, she described the flavor as "semi-sweet" and that was very accurate. She also told me that they house make their chocolate, and it shows in the mocha. I liked this, especially considering all the factors. DEEP chocolate flavor. Coffee taste was suitable too. But it ...

Hi. I told myself I'd never do this, but some of my close friends are VERY interested and to be fair it was quite annoying to send whatever I reviewed to individuals.  So this is the other way I got.  To those that aren't my friends - I drink mocha coffee specifically and nothing else. I rank them and write a small writeup here and there, but that's it. It's just fun for me. I haven't really done written comments until recently, so first couple posts may be recent mochas and then the odd ol...
