Random thoughts:Hoping for a basic Saturday: College Football, chess, and Svengoolie. And it looks like that's how it's shaping up.A good Saturday has just wrapped up. I watched two football games and both "my" teams won. Svengoolie's movie tonight was entertaining and his schtick was in fine form. I was able to move in some of my CC games but was never able to carve out a big enough block of time when I had the proper focus to work on many others; thankfully I have plenty of time-cushion in tho...

Saturday Morning:If sleeps could be graded by quality, with "10" being the deepest, most peaceful sleep possible, and "1" being tortured, painful, and restless, I'd give last night's a solid "5." It was certainly long enough, nine hours from when head hit pillow to when feet hit the floor for the final time, but it was neither very restful nor comfortable. But it was 9-hours long, so there is that to be said for it.The morning health metrics show signs of steady improvement, and the financial nu...

Monday morning:A grim and gloomy start to this morning, and I'm not sure why. Last night's sleep was about average: 3 1/2 hr. 1st sleep segment, followed by 45 min. insomnia break, then another sleep segment of a little more than three hours, finally waking 1/2 hour before my first alarm. That should be enough to see me through the day. Local and National news is all pretty depressing, that's probably a source of the grimness I sense. The morning's health metrics were surprisingly good, though, ...
