Random thoughts:One of the happier parts of this day was when different elements of the coding project started connecting in my mind and making sense. It wasn't an instant AHA! moment. But it was like a slow and steady change in attitude that happened while I was doing research this evening: a movement from confusion to confidence.Prayers, etc.:06:00 - Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel11:15 - Lk 2:22-3519:50 - Fr. Random thoughts:Spent several hours in the middle of the day trying to get two software pkgs to work. Ran into too many problems with both Jekyll and Hugo, both purported to be excellent programs that are simple to use for generating static websites. Huh! I don't think so! Not on my computer anyway. Know what does work though? Hand-coding html (and a little CSS and a touch of Java scripting). Random thoughts:Most of this Christmas Eve 2020 is now history. My day has been spent quietly, eating good home cooked food (thanks Sylvia), listening to a College Bowl Game, attending to some computer / Internet related chores, and playing a little chess. Random thoughts:The cedar fever was quite bothersome today. It's not hitting me nearly as hard this year as in most years, probably because I'm self-quarantining (staying indoors mostly, away from people and pollen), mega-dosing vitamins, and generally taking my health so seriously as I deal with the ongoing CCP-flu pandemic threat. Some years the cedar hits me so hard that I'm actually sick for weeks on end, every day feeling much worse than today. But today, for the first time this cedar seaso...
